Aspen (United States)

Part of the Four Mountain ski resort area, Aspen is one of the world's premier resorts, excelling in almost every department. With the exception of the skiing on offer on the Buttermilk Mountain, experts will be encapsulated by the quality and difficulty of skiing, both on and off the piste, with the double-black diamond runs complimenting some of the steepest off-piste on offer in any US resort. Intermediates will find an extensive choice of routes on each of the mountains, whilst Snowmass is ideal for mixed ability families requiring gentler slopes for beginners. Aspen's aprés-ski is also widely acclaimed, offering the choice of a quiet of bustling nightlife, making it easy to see why Aspen is rated as number one in America for aprés-ski. Despite its size and popularity, Aspen has retained its character, whilst the slopes are surprisingly uncrowded. However, with the enormous ski area spread across four mountains, the resort could be criticised for inconvenience, though this and its high expense are the only criticisms on could muster.
