Mountain States (United States)

The mountain states region of the U.S. is basically home to all the major national parks in the country. In Montana, Glacier National Park provides a hiker's paradise, with hundreds of miles of hiking terrain and wildlife to discover. Wyoming is home to potentially the most famous national park in the country, with Yellowstone providing visitors with a wide range of geographical wonders to enjoy—hot springs, mountains to hike, forests, rivers, and lakes. Bryce Canyon National Park in Utah hosts one of the largest collection of 'hoodoos,' rock formations that have been formed through erosion, in the world. Like its nearby states, Colorado also has its own national park. At Rocky Mountain National Park, you will be able to hike across more than 350 miles of paths, spot wild animals, and fend off altitude sickness from the incredible change in elevation at the base of the mountain to the top.
