Elsas Kopje

Elsas Kopje

Lodges and Ranches in Central-North Kenya, Kenya

Elsa’s Kopje is, most possibly, one of the most famous lodges in East Africa. Made famous through its link with George Adamson’s lions, this rocky outcrop now hosts a collection of luxury cottages that are dotted amongst its crags. Each of the 9 rooms has been designed to wrap around the rock that provides the rear wall, and out from the front the views across the Meru plains are spectacular. With a great infinity pool and communal dining and lounge area, the lodge has rightly deserved its reputation.

Elsas Private house

Elsas Private house

Lodges and Ranches in Central-North Kenya, Kenya

Elsa’s Private House is set away from the main lodge, but enjoys the same spectacular views of its surrounds. Consisting of 2 bed rooms and a main sitting area, the house is a beautiful private villa designed with the Arabian influence of Lamu. During the hot afternoons it is possible to relax in the private infinity pool, and at night be served by the private butler whilst dining under the stars.

Joy's Camp

Joy's Camp

Lodges and Ranches in Central-North Kenya, Kenya

Joy’s camp is situated at Joy Adamson’s original campsite in the Shaba National Reserve… the place where she released her famous leopard “Penny”. It is home to resident buffalo, waterbuck and a regular watering hole for the large number of elephant passing through. Each sumptuous tent is uniquely decorated with Bedouin-Somali cloth design, creating a sophisticated and stylish camp with its own private deck, ideal for private game viewing, relaxing, reading. Joy’s Camp is the perfect choice for discerning guests interested in a glimpse of Kenyan history, as well as those looking for an authentic wildlife experience combined with the comfort of a luxury, tented camp.

Loldia

Loldia

Lodges and Ranches in Rift Valley, Kenya

Loldia ranch is a perfect spot to relax, enjoy the pleasures of Kenyan country life and explore the Great Rift Valley. Built in the Second World War, it nestles under ancient Acacia trees, and its lush lawns run down to the shores of Lake Naivasha (the Great Rift Valley’s highest and purest lake). Indigenous plants and flowers fill the gardens.

There are beautiful views of the dormant volcano, Mount Longonot. Wild animals roam free on the farm. Small antelope wander through the gardens and in the evenings hippo munch quietly by the waterside.

In the main house there’s a choice of four en-suite double rooms, with original furniture. And three more rooms in the specially-built Loldia cottage which has its own sitting-room, fire and panoramic lake-views.

Mouth-watering meals, with fish and shrimp from the lake, are served under the trees or in the old dining room….

Ol Malo House

Ol Malo House

Lodges and Ranches in Kenya

Ol Malo House has been a true labour of love for the owners Colin, Rocky and their son Andrew, and they have succeeded in creating some thing very special. With 7 rooms, ranging from the crocodile room and its crocodile bath, to the hippo rooms and their over head beds, each room has a certain character of its own. The house itself is vast and shares the views of Ol Malo which is about 20 minutes away. With features such as a rooftop sun deck, a large barbeque area and a luxury infinity pool, the house has everything that you could want.
